7:15 departure from Rough River State Park with a 12:15 finish in Sonora, KY. We pushed modest headwinds, drizzle and out right rain today.
Chowing down with the local men of Eastview, KY at the Marathon gas/convenience/cafe. We warmed up and slightly dried off from the rain after 30 miles. Chicken tenders, corn dogs, fried green tomatoes and fried mushrooms were our foods of voice. Can you say "cholesterol"?🌭

Rose and Charlie Thurman regal us with stories and history of the house, the family, Kentucky, movies, Louisiana....
In front of the Thurman Guest House after dinner. It quit raining long enough for Charlie to drive us around the city and drop us off at the only place for dinner at 6 in the evening, Hunt Brothers Pizza. Sometime in the future I'll dedicate a blog update to eating on the TransAm Route. 🍕
